Intensive Outpatient Program

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a 16 week program to help individuals establish or maintain recovery from addictions. It utilizes both group and individual counseling as a highly effective treatment approach.

Our IOP offers support to address a serious addiction, while allowing enough freedom for an individual to maintain employment, family responsibilities and other activities.

Our approach is a 12-step, abstinence based model which addresses the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being of an individual. We take a holistic approach to meet each individual client’s needs, throughout the course of treatment.

Our IOP group uses an evidence-based curriculum called the Matrix model which focuses on addiction education. In the group setting, clients work with their counselor and peers to identify triggers, plan for relapse prevention, and process the challenges of sobriety.

Individual sessions offer the client the ability to address issues that are painful and difficult to reach. The implementation of personalized treatment goals and a relapse prevention plan will give the client the tools necessary to develop trust and gain insight.

At Focused Recovery, other aspects of our IOP include mandatory random drug screenings, attendance at community 12-step meetings, and weekly contacts with peers.
